Bigelow House Museum

The Bigelow House is the oldest residence in Olympia, Washington and one of the earliest still standing in the Pacific Northwest.  Swalling Walk oversaw the rebuilding of the west porches, designed to meet historic appearance, provide adequate strength and meet current life safety codes.  At the rear of the property, doors were added to the historic shed to secure and strengthen the building.  One pair of doors is actually a false door with a shear panel to reinforce lateral resistance of the structure.
